Team Overview

The B&M Retail team manages in-store pharmacy operations, diagnostics, and e-consultation, ensuring excellent customer service and operational performance in collaboration with Warehousing, Merchandising, and Marketing.


Key Responsibilities

Financial Performance and Sales:

  • Meet daily sales targets across private label, BigBasket, generics, high-margin categories, and diagnostics.
  • Perform prescription reminder calls and follow up with dormant/lapsed and high-value users.
  • Maintain and review the commitment register to ensure timely customer deliveries.

Omnichannel Order Management:

  • Achieve zero pushback on omnichannel orders.
  • Ensure 100% compliance with turnaround time (TAT) in order processing.

Customer Service and Experience:

  • Greet customers warmly with folded hands.
  • Understand and fulfill customer requirements both in-store and via calls/WhatsApp with timely responses (within 15–20 minutes).
  • Build lasting customer relationships through professional service.
  • Manage home deliveries as per business and service protocols.

Inventory Management and Accuracy:

  • Inward inventory daily with complete accuracy.
  • Correctly place items per SKU-location mapping.
  • Pull out expired, near-expiry, and non-moving items daily.
  • Enter bounced items into the system.
  • Conduct daily physical SKU audits.

Compliance and Banking:

  • Maintain duplicate invoices and cold chain temperature logs as per SOP.
  • Regularize manual bills.
  • Handle sales returns with necessary email approvals.
  • Prepare daily sales report (DSR) and cash ledger during shift handovers.
  • Respond to store pharmacy emails promptly.

Store Hygiene & Visual Merchandising:

  • Maintain store cleanliness with housekeeping support.
  • Clean racks and shelves daily, arrange items per visual merchandising SOP.
  • Place appropriate discount tags and display monetized brands correctly.

Marketing and Promotional Activities:

  • Set up in-store marketing materials and standees.
  • Participate actively in promotional camps and door-to-door activities.
  • Inform customers about ongoing offers, home delivery, and diagnostics services.


Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Pharmacy with 1-3 years of relevant experience.
  • Valid State Pharmacy Council registration.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with computers and pharmacy software.
  • Attention to detail, multitasking ability, and ethical conduct.
